Переношу мое сообщение из "Где должна спать собака?"

Касси "отбилась от рук"    и мы ее поставили на программу "Поправки поведения", а так как ей это очень хорошо помогло, то мы с моими тренерами решили ее на ней пока оставить безвременно...
Вот эта программа:

DEALING WITH CANINE CONTROL

This program is to be initiated and then practiced for a minimum of 21 to 35 days.  At such a time when the dog has become subordinate and accepting of your leadership, you should refer to the “Daily Reminders---Working for a Living” handout.  The information on the “Daily Reminders” handout is intended to help keep your dog’s attitude in check throughout his life with you.

Aerobic exercise each day should be in the form of training.  If taking a leisurely walk, routinely ask the dog to perform a skill or exercise.  Petting and praise should be used as positive reinforcement for effort. 

Control your dog’s environment.  His movement about your home is restricted.  Your dog is to be on leash, tethered, or confined to a crate. Your dog must sleep in a crate at night.  Time in your yard is limited to bathroom use. 

Your dog should have no interaction with other dogs or people in your household.  All attention and affection should come from you as reinforcement for willingness to please you. 

In addition to training advanced obedience skills, be sure to reinforce simple obedience commands such as “sit,” “come,” and “with me” throughout the day.  Do not accept delayed or lack luster responses to any command.  Remember that anything you ask your dog to do is a command!

When using food to reinforce responses during training, use treats of low value; reserve the “special treats” (cheese) for great responses when training the day before a show weekend.  The day of the show use the “really good stuff” (liver/chicken) when warming up to go into the ring. 

Your dog should not be permitted to get up on any furniture in any room at any time.

Keep all petting brief.  Additionally, only pet your dog after he has responded to a command.

Your dog should not have access to toys.  The only time your dog is to have a toy is when he is being rewarded for the correct response to a command.  Play during training and put the toy away at the end of the session.  

Иногда я все же даю ей поиграть с Люси, но это бывает крайне редко!  Также я иногда отступаю от правил и даю ей играть с игрушками, и с мужем пообщаться (на диване немного посидеть), и выпускаю во двор (мой двор) без поводка...но в основном пытаюсь как можно ближе придерживаться приведенной программы.  Изменения же в послушании я заметила буквально через неделю!!!

Если кто из не читающих по английски заинтерисутеся данной статейкой, свистните    я на выходных переведу (правда, переводы у меня кривые так как переводчик я доморощенный  )
